EMAIL NEWSLETTER
We are changing into an electronic distribution of the newsletter. Beginning this month the majority of newsletters will be sent by electronic means. The cost of paper, toner and postage has made the newsletter increasingly more expensive and this a necessary costsaving measure.

Ways to continue to receive the newsletter:

  • Make sure we have your current email address.

  • Attend Church. (Those members without email can pick up their copy on Sunday)

  • Let us know that you would like to continue to receive a copy mailed to you. (If you do not contact us you may no longer receive the newsletter.)

Pastor Nominating Committee News
Praise God! The process to call a new pastor to our church family is finally seeing some real progress! The Committee on Ministry (COM) approved our Church Information Form(CIF) on May 6th. Shortly thereafter our CIF was entered into the Church Leadership Connection's internet system. A few days later we received our first resume's from pastors seeking a church home. To date we have received 8 Personal Information Forms (PIF'S), and they continue to arrive. Over the next several weeks and months, your PNC will carefully evaluate all applications and winnow them down to a short list of those we feel are a good fit for our church. Interviews will follow.

Please know that your PNC is approaching this process in a prayerful manner. We know that God is leading us to select one who He has already selected for His very special church family at Buckley, and are working through the process with that premise at the forefront of our actions.

Your prayers for the PNC are appreciated. We will keep you updated as events warrant throughout the summer.
Annual Church Picnic
Sunday, August 22nd, Mud Mountain Dam

The Fellowship Committee is already busy planning our church picnic.
The Cayuse Shelter area has been reserved. Hamburgers, hot dogs, condiments, iced tea and lemonade are on the shopping list. Games are in the planning. And prayers for sunshine and warm weather are ongoing.

Watch for more information and sign-up sheets in the coming weeks.

In the mean time, mark your calendars for August 22nd because you don't want to miss out on the food, fun and fellowship at this year's annual church picnic.
The Youth Group Fast
(Elder Wolfe and Advisor Tami)
The Youth Group is just finishing “30 Hours of Famine” which will be concluding with a break-the-fast breakfast on February 28th. The congregation was invited to join them for breakfast before Church. Many members of the congregation joined us for the breakfast, and quite a few joined us in fasting, giving them their first experience of fasting for the Lord. The youth group raised $1,130.. We were able to choose where our funds would go this year. After looking
at all of the available areas, we choose a project in Ethiopia, due to the poverty of the area.
MARK LABBERTON COMING SOON
This spring, we have the opportunity to hear from
one of the leading Presbyterian voices of today.
Mark Labberton, author of "The Dangerous Act of
Worship," is speaking at Calvary Presbyterian
Church in April. Mark was senior pastor at First
Presbyterian in Berkeley, CA, and just recently was appointed to the Lloyd John Ogilvie Chair in
Preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary. Mark will be speaking at their Saturday night service, April 24th at 7:00 pm. We will be forming carpools for anyone wishing to attend.
